Thinking About a Year End Gift to Sacred Heart?

Christmas/New Years Office Hours

The Parish Office will be closed for the Holiday on Friday, December 23rd through Sunday, January 1st.

Here's is What You Need to Know for Year End Donations

You can drop your donation in the offering basket at Mass (make sure your check is dated prior to 12/31/22. You may also drop your donation off at the rectory to Fr. Todd or Fr. Ginu.

You can donate online, right up until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, December 31! You can make a gift from the comfort of your own home! You can donate to Sacred Heart Parish at https://giving.parishsoft.com/App/Giving/sacr207300

For mail-in donations

Mail in contributions MUST be POSTMARKED prior to 12/31/22. This means that the donor needs to mail checks by Saturday, December 31, 2022.

The envelope postmark date is a very important piece of information!

* If the check is dated December 2022, and the envelope is postmarked December 31, 2022, but it is not received until January 3, 2023, the contribution will be recorded for 2022.

* If a check dated in December 2022, but postmarked January 2, 2023, the donation will be recorded in 2023.

Your IRA & Charitable Giving

If you are required to take a minimum distribution from your IRA in 2022 or are over age 70 1/2, you can avoid the income tax through a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). The QCD giving option allows charitable contributions to be made directly from an IRA to a qualified charity such as Sacred Heart Parish (or other qualified charities). This can be a beneficial strategy in your charitable giving. Consult your IRA administrator or financial advisor on the proper procedures for making a direct distribution to Sacred Heart Parish.
